Using the Shopping Cart

To place a book, CD or tape in your shopping cart, just choose how many you would like to order using the dropdown menu and click "Add to basket." You may then continue browsing by using the links on the left-hand side of the page. When you are ready to place your order, click on the "Proceed to Checkout" selection.

There are two ways to change the quantity of an item. First, to change the desired quantity in the dropdown box next to the item, and then press "Update." It is important that you press "Update," otherwise the new quantity will not be saved. Second, when you are browsing, you may want to click the "Add to basket", which will automatically add more to your Shopping Basket.

If you wish to delete an item in your shopping cart, you may use the dropdown menu and choose the "Delete" button to change the quantity to zero.

Items remain in your shopping cart as long as your browser is open, or until you make an order. For security, we have put in a time-out, but don't worry. The time-out will not happen unless there has been no surfing of the site for 30 minutes.

When you are ready to order, press "Proceed to the checkout" and enter the required information to place your order.

Cookies

The shopping cart uses "cookies," which are small pieces of information saved on your computer to keep track of your order. Cookies are completely safe and cannot be used to save harmful information like viruses. Furthermore, our cookies can not be read by anyone but Edge Press, so no one else can retrieve your order information.

Sensitive information, like credit card numbers and expiration dates, will never be saved as cookies.

The cookies setting should be set as a default, but if you have any problems with adding an item to your shopping basket and then being told your basket is empty, please check in your web browser program by going into the Tools menu, then Internet Options. Click on the Privacy Tab and then the Advanced button and tick "the always allow session cookies" option and/or set Third Party cookies to Accept."

Ordering by Credit Card

Credit card is the preferred method of business of Edge Press. We accept Visa and MasterCard.

NB: There is no maximum limit for ordering. There may be an administration fee of NZ$35 added to your order if there are problems with clearing the transaction, or if a "chargeback" happens, as this incurs a cost from the credit card company to us.

International Orders

Although Edge Press is New Zealand based, we welcome international orders. All credit card purchases will be processed in either Euro, American dollars or the South African Rand. Because your credit card company will exchange currency for you at the current rate of exchange, credit card is the preferred method of business for international orders.

Credit Card Security

Edge Press uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption, which is the industry standard for online shopping. This means that your credit card number and other ordering information is fully encrypted and safe. We make sure all ordering information is kept confidential and safe.

Ordering by Check

If you do not wish to use a credit card to make your order, we also accept payments via check. Currently, we have multiple currency capabilities, except South African Rand. To make an order by check, use the Shopping Cart as if you were going to make a credit card order. When prompted, choose the "Order by Check" option. You will then be given a page where you can print and send the order form, along with a check made out to "Edge Press", to

Refund Policy

Refunds will be given under the discretion of company management. If you have a query about deliveries, refunds, or the return/exchange of any items purchased through WorldPay, you need to contact Edge Press at edgepress@xtra.co.nz.
